Downhill madness, without closing the roads!

This Frenchman is probably a bit younger than me, I reckon. I don’t mind admitting he’s probably also got bigger balls, not to mention some kind of different skeleton with its own internal suspension system. Unsatisfied with any of the other, dare I say it more traditional adrenalin sports on offer, he’s invented one of his own. The new sport is innoculously called Buggy Rollin, which makes it sound quite easy going. It is anything but. To take part you need a long downhill road, like the sort favoured the organisers of the Tour de France and ramped up set of motorcycle leathers with 31 wheels stuck onto them…

I found myself wondering if this was CGI – it is shot on low res film – because it is so insanely dangerous or it would be if he had closed the roads first but this Jean Yves Blondeau didn’t trouble himself with that sort of bureaucratic approach. With the roads still open to traffic, words fail to describe the scale of the lunacy involved. Lord knows what the motorcyclist he overtakes thought…
